Privacy

Your training story stays yours.

This policy explains which personal information Tycho Coaching uses, why it is needed and how long it is kept.

Who is responsible

Tycho Coaching, operated by Tycho Parmentier (KVK 97624195), is responsible for personal information submitted through this website. Questions can be sent to tychocoach@gmail.com.

Information used for enquiries

The intake asks for contact details, country, cycling discipline and level, available training hours, goals, event information, equipment, training platform and package interest. This is used only to assess and respond to your request, based on your consent.

The website does not ask for age, gender, payment information or medical records through the intake form. Please do not include sensitive health information in the free-text field.

Storage and retention

Intake data is sent securely to a private Google Sheet available to Tycho Coaching. Enquiries that do not become a coaching relationship are marked closed and deleted six months later. Records for clients may need to be kept longer to perform an agreement or meet legal obligations.

The form uses short-term duplicate protection based on a one-way representation of your email address. It is not used for marketing.

Analytics and service providers

Vercel hosts this website and measures traffic and performance without cookies. Google processes intake delivery and storage and, if you allow it, Google Analytics (see below). These providers may process technical information under their own data-processing terms.

Cookies and Google Analytics

With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It only loads after you click ‘Accept’ in the cookie banner; before that, and if you decline, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time under ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser, not in a cookie.

Google Analytics places the cookies _ga and _ga_147MT12ZHH, which last up to two years, and receives technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location, the pages you visit and the site that referred you. Google does not store your IP address. Google signals and advertising features are switched off. The data is kept for at most 14 months. Google may process it in the United States and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for that. The legal basis is your consent.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or withdraw consent. Email tychocoach@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data-protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

The athlete portal

If you train with me, you can log in to a private portal. Below is what happens there with your information.

Which information. From intervals.icu: your sessions (duration, load, power, heart rate), your HRV, your resting heart rate and your sleep. Your weight only if you switch that on yourself. Beyond that, the results of performance tests we do together, and my coaching note about you.

You also fill in yourself: the weekly check (how hard you found the week, and how you slept, how tired you were, how much muscle soreness and stress you had, how much you felt like training, whether you were ill or injured, and a comment if you want to leave one) and, if you switch it on, a short daily check with the same questions about today. Those answers are yours: you decide whether to fill them in, and the comment goes straight to me. Medical details are not needed for this.

What for. Only for your coaching: to see how you respond to training and to tune your plan to that. Not for advertising, not for research, not for anything else.

Legal basis. Explicit consent. You give it the first time you log in and you can withdraw it at any moment on your account page.

Who sees it. Only me. Other riders see nothing of yours, and the portal shares nothing with third parties. There is no analytics or tracking in it.

Who processes it. The portal runs on Vercel (functions in Frankfurt; the company is based in the United States) on a database from Neon (AWS Frankfurt). Login links go through Resend, which processes your email address in the United States. The retrieval run happens on GitHub Actions: your information sits in memory there briefly and is not kept. The standard contractual clauses of those parties cover the transfer to the United States. Your information originally comes from intervals.icu, where you have your own account.

How long. Daily data 365 days, the last three snapshots per rider, your weekly and daily checks until you have them deleted or withdraw your consent. Login links expire after 15 minutes, sessions after 30 days. If you withdraw your consent, your access stops at once, no new information is retrieved, your checks disappear immediately and I delete the rest within 30 days. Deleted information may sit briefly in the database's recovery copies; those disappear by themselves once the recovery window has passed.

Your rights. You may see your information, have it corrected or have it deleted, and withdraw your consent. Just ask me; I confirm by email once it is done. If you disagree with how I handle your information, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data-protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
